  March 14, 2017 6:30 pm. Ordered 5 chicken strips and a small fry at drive thru. No one in line, but had to wait over 10 minutes. Got home 5 minutes later, and find FOUR strips ... not 5. Really? Fries look like they have been reheated. Soggy and stuck together in a big clump. Feeling pretty ripped off right now. I notice when the manager is absent, quality at this location takes a big nose dive. Pretty bad when staff can't count to five at 1966 Guthrie Rd, Comox. Guess I have to check my order closely from now on, even if it is for just two items. Or simply go somewhere else.

  The service has deteriorated recently and I'm being charged $1.05 more for what I had been getting for $8.61. Today I ordered 2 pieces of chicken, fries and coleslaw and NOTHING to drink. The person taking my order said :"you want 5 pieces of chicken?' I said "No, I said I want 2 pieces of chicken, fries and coleslaw and nothing to drink" Now they are adding Tap Water to the order and the price goes up from $8.61 to $9.66 when they add a drink. They claim that the extra $1.05 pays for the fries and the coleslaw and the drink. This makes no sense at all ... they add Tap Water (which is not delivered because I don't want it) but I'm charged for it. How can tap water cost as much as Root Beer or other pop? When I got the order home, the fries were about half of what is usually served and there was no coleslaw but instead I got Macaroni Salad and since I'm diabetic Macaroni Salad is too high in carbs on top of the fries so I couldn't eat it. I wish I didn't like their chicken so much. It's a longer drive to get to the one over on Cliff but I may do that ... the Guthrie one is less than 5 minutes from home but I've about had it with their being out of chicken frequently and all the other stuff .. and apparently it's under new management. So far I am NOT impressed. Cliff here I come next time.

  Got a flyer in the junk from my mailbox said ok I'll try and surprise they were out of chicken... sucks

  Possibly the worst A&W in Canada. They are always slow. I mean 15 min slow. They seem clueless each time I go. That's 5 times in a row with the same slow experience each time. The other A&W's in town seem to run properly. I have no idea why this one is so different.

  The person making my food was in hygienic, he kept fixing his hair while making my buyers. Also the girl working the till/drive thru went back to help him and didn't even wash her hands. Wouldn't recommend going.
